About

Hi, my name is Ian Džindo and I’m a Data Scientist. I have been passionate about computers and technology in general since I was a kid, so I kind of always knew what my main interest in life is.

My programming career started off with C++, which I’ve used for quite a bit of time before deciding to transition to Python. My C++ efforts were mostly in completing various challenges on TopCoder and HackerEarth, but I have made a flock of my own projects.

After learning Python I spent some time teaching myself the obligatory maths for Data Science and Machine Learning. I learned the basic principles of DS and ML through Udacity courses, but I decided I needed some hands on practice. So, I started gathering data online, analysing it, making various inferences based on my analysis and extracting any useful information from the data.

I heard about Kaggle and I really loved what was going on there, so I started competing. Still today, most of my work is based on either Kaggle competitions or Kaggle datasets. You can check out my work on my GitHub profile.

Besides from that I’ve also been running a blog on Medium for quite some time now. Its also centered around Data Science and Machine Learning, but it does contain a couple of posts on matters from life in general.

My work email is ian.dzindo01@gmail.com. I’m happy to help in any way I can, so don’t hesitate to get in touch!

I also do things besides from Data Science, but this isn’t the place to be talking about that!
